Heart shaped churro bites are an easy, quick breakfast recipe to make for your kids on Valentine’s Day! These hearts are a sweet and fun way to start the day.
Materials:
Bread
Cinnamon
Sugar
Butter
Eggs
Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter
Directions:
- In a bowl, beat 3-4 eggs together thoroughly. Set aside.
- Take slices of bread and cut out heart shaped bites with the cookie cutter. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix together sugar, and cinnamon powder until you get your own desired color and taste; approximately 1 cup of sugar and 2 tablespoons of cinnamon. Set aside. Tip: For added color and taste add brown sugar!
- In a medium saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and turn it on low-medium heat.
- In this order, dunk the bread pieces into the egg mixture. Skim off access egg and cover in the cinnamon and sugar. Then put them in the saucepan.
- Repeat these steps for as many breakfast bites as you want.
- Once cooked, dip them in the cinnamon and sugar one more time.
Then your done! Serve with butter or syrup and enjoy this Valentine's Day breakfast with your kids!
